My tulips!!

Look at my tulips!

I have never been a fan of tulips-- a bit garish sometimes. But these were brought over by my sweet stepdaughter from M and S (sigh).

They look a little like peonies, and will last in a vase for ages. I have cream, pink and white.

Now I need to know what i do with the bulbs when the flowers are over. Do I leave them in the earth, take them out, dry them???

Is there a gardening monitor there?

Thankful for the rain

We have much needed rain today, after days of heat our garden badly needs it. the only problem is that much as the plants love it....so do the weeds. I can almost see them leaping out of the earth. Planted some very pretty Nicotiana (white , very CL) today, and repotted my lavender cuttings, 10 of which have taken!
