Our church, our home groups and individuals are praying for the sad family of a lady who was drowned this week. The car that she was in was waiting on the slipway for the King Harry Ferry, only a mile or two from our village.
The man with her had got out of the car to take a photo, when the car began to roll forward and went into the water. Even though it is by the shore, the water is very deep and the car simply went down.
Although a local man tried desperately to reach her by diving over and over again, he wasn't successful.
Rescue services, ambulances and helicopters were soon on he scene.
The sadness locally can be felt.

  10. Terribly sad he must feel wretched. My son witnessed a fatality last week when a pedestrian was knocked over by a car, he and his friends prayed at the roadside while the emergency services arrived, the man did not die immediately so we hope he would have known someone cared.

  12. How dreadful. I've actually taken the King Harry Ferry, and thought it was beautiful. Who could have dreamt that something so tragic could happen.

  13. What a tragedy - I feel so bad for him being left to always feel guilty I'm sure. The man who tried to save that lady was very brave - he too must feel so sad that he failed in his efforts.

Life is strange and can be taken so quickly when least expected.

    Blessings to you dear.
