Loved these Autumnal colours. This lady has embellished with buttons, lace and satiny fabrics to give shine and interest.
One of my favourites, but then I love blue and white in any form.
I like the wording that this quilter has incorporated in the design.
I wish I could say that I came back inspired to start, or even restart, my patchworking.
Aren't they beautiful!! I think that the blue and one white is my favourite of them all. A lovely display! xx
ReplyDeleteHello Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts and the words are true!
Love, Carolien
The blue and white is my favourite. I like the idea that quilts were made throughout time by groups of women, working together, chatting, laughing, sharing.
ReplyDeleteThey are just so pretty Barbara :0) mari
ReplyDeleteThe blue and white stars are beautiful. Lovely quilts, all.
ReplyDeleteI do admire those quilt because it takes such attention to detail that I don't have.
ReplyDeleteI used to do alot of patchwork and appliqué .. I believe that playing with colours... is good for you ! : )
ReplyDeleteI think I would have stolen that blue and white one to bring back home... Or maybe I would have behaved since the exhibit was in a church...
ReplyDeleteThese quilts are gorgeous! I especially like the first one, Barbara. Quilting is something I would love to learn. Both my mother-in-law and sister are long time quilters.
